How to Finding Identifying Legitimate Business Opportunities

September 16, 2009

Finding and identifying legitimate business opportunities, when done correctly, can save you months of wasted time once you have found it. Have the compensation plan explained so that you can understand it. Don’t fall for everyone’s “going to get rich quick” “this is the ground floor get in now” sales pitch. When identifying legitimate business opportunities ask and find out the marketing plan. If they say “Marketing? The product sells itself!” Then plan of having a house full of product that you purchase and cannot get rid of.

Not all businesses have compensation plans with your best interest in mind. The common method that is mentioned is 2 people finding 2 people etc they tell you can make thousands in your first week. All you really want to know is what’s realistic. Business opportunities are throwing money claims all over you just to get you to sign up. When you ask for an explanation of the compensation plan they either look at you funny or just start explaining it in away that will even confuse them. Watch out for the default answer when asked about the compensation plan. “Oh don’t worry about it, let’s call all your family and friends first”……. So my advice is to make them explain it to you.

Don’t get caught up in the sales pitch. I should say don’t get caught up in the hype. Identifying legitimate business opportunities takes a gathering of information. Some examples of what I mean by ‘hype’ is when they are saying it’s the best thing since sliced bread! Or they grab their up-line to talk to you. Or he’s letting you know that everyone in the world wants what they have to offer. You know how this ends. your closet is full of a bunch of product that you shoved in there due to your auto shipments. If it’s the first time you have seen this opportunity get all the literature possible and do some homework. They love impulse buyers!

When Identifying legitimate business opportunities find out about the training and support. To find out about the training and support some good questions to ask yourself are: Do they have a quality product? How many units or products need to be sold to make my desired income? How much time is needed ? Do they have a legitimate marketing plan? This is the make or break it question again. This is what you will need to do the most of, so make sure they have the marketing support you feel is needed.

Getting through the questions and avoiding the hype you can make an educated decision. I have found a legitimate business opportunity that has truly avoided all of these pit falls. Actually they require you to go through an application process before you can even be considered. Approvals are based on your application answers and an interview.
