If We Look At the Bigger Picture - Latex Foam Mattresses Do Outshine All the Others
January 29, 2010
Latex foam mattresses have stirred the mattress market since its debut. Many marvel at the seemingly endless benefits it provides. It leads one into asking if this is the ultimate mattress that really outshines all other types of mattresses.
If we look at the bigger picture, latex foam mattresses do outshine all the others. The qualities of other mattresses are in this type of mattress in addition to its unique health benefits.
Latex mattresses are manufactured from rubber tree sap. The contents may depend on the manufacturing standards of the company you are buying it from but in general, it can contain 60% of natural rubber tree sap. This ingredient is manufactured, vacuumed and frozen if it is the Talalay way of manufacturing, into foams that is characterized by its pincore hole structure.
What really gives this an edge over the others are because of two things: its raw material and its construction. The rubber tree sap used in this makes it sustainable and eco-friendly. In addition to that, it gives it a hypoallergenic appeal you cannot find in any other mattress.
The pincore hole construction give the mattress the ability to promote comfort and support. Some companies put bigger holes on the lower part of the mattress while some integrate uniform hole sizes. The comfort depends on the size of these pincore holes. When choosing a latex mattress, consider the size of the pincore holes as this will determine the mattress’ comfort level.
Another screaming difference of this mattress to other types of mattresses is its breathability. Remember those days when you wake up early in the morning drenched in your own sweat? That actually adds up to your discomfort. And remember the mornings when your back is stiff from the cold winter morning. The truth is, most mattresses conform to environment temperature.
Latex mattress solves this issue again because of its pincore holes. The holes allow better air circulation inside the mattress so the temperature is well-regulated. You will fresh and relaxed on hot seasons and nice and warm on colder seasons. I don’t know about you but that actually sells me out.
Another reason why you should side with a latex mattress is because it is resistant to mold formation. It prolongs the life of the mattress and enhances your sleep experience because you no longer have to worry about mold and mildew formation.
You will also find latex mattresses the most durable of the lot. Spring mattresses can only live for a little less than a decade. A memory foam mattress lives for over a decade but Latex can surpass two decades. But that all depends on the quality of the brand you are getting. In today’s day and age, it is imperative that you consider the brand you are getting seriously.
